The Mother of Hardenduro

After spending hours and hours riding around the villages and mountains of Lesotho I have gotten to see how many little children are running around, lots of them with very little clothing, no shoes no toys and many of them no homes.
I was filling my bike up at the trading post in Roma a few months ago and this little boy came out of nowhere and sat on my lap and hugged me, he didn’t ask for anything or want anything, he just sat holding me, it was then that I felt I needed to give something back to Lesotho, the place that has given me and so many other bikers such great memories.
I decided that this year I will dedicate my Roof of Africa race to the children of Lesotho and try and raise as much money as I can for them.

I have opened a bank account trading as THE ROOF FOR A ROOF where you can deposit/eft funds into. Those funds will then be given in the form of a cheque to the Lesotho Off Road club. Ahsley Thorn who is the director of the club and who is very much involved in the Lesotho community will manage the funds and allocate to the children. No withdralls can be made and anyone who donates funds is welcome to have a look at the bank statement anytime they want.
It’s easy to want to give but to take the time to give is another story, please take the time to list this account as a beneficiary and make a donation, 5 minutes of your time and a couple of Rand will make a massive difference for hundreds of children.
